How Mosquito Misting Systems Work
A residential mosquito misting system consists of: a stainless steel or polyethylene reservoir tank (typically 55 gallons), a pump, and a network of fine-mist nozzles mounted along fence lines, landscape beds, and perimeter posts throughout your property. The system connects to a programmable timer that runs automatic misting cycles — typically 30–60 seconds at dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active.
Misting cycles release a fine aerosol of diluted insecticide that kills mosquitoes on contact as they rest in vegetation. The system can also be triggered manually via remote control or a wall-mounted controller for on-demand treatment before backyard events or pool gatherings.
Installation Process
We assess your property size, yard layout, vegetation, and target treatment areas to determine the optimal nozzle placement plan and tank location. Typical residential installation: 10–30 nozzles depending on yard size and shape.
Nozzles are mounted along fence lines, posts, and landscape edges using corrosion-resistant hardware. Tubing is routed to the reservoir tank and connected to the pump. All connections are pressure-tested before activation.
The control timer is programmed for 2–3 daily misting cycles (typically dawn, dusk, and an optional mid-day cycle). Remote control is provided for on-demand activation. Cycle duration and frequency are adjustable based on mosquito pressure.
We provide scheduled tank refill service when the reservoir runs low, plus annual system inspection — nozzle cleaning, tubing checks, and pump maintenance — to keep the system performing at full effectiveness.
